Return & Refund Policy

At ShopHunt, we want you to feel confident when shopping with us. This Return & Refund Policy explains our voluntary 30-day return period, your statutory cancellation rights, and how refunds, returns, replacements, and faulty or damaged products are handled.

Nothing in this policy limits or removes any statutory consumer rights that apply to you under UK law.

1. Our 30-Day Return Period

In addition to your statutory consumer rights, ShopHunt offers a 30-day voluntary return period for eligible products.

You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, provided the product meets the applicable return conditions in this policy.

This 30-day return period is an additional benefit offered by ShopHunt and does not replace or reduce any statutory rights you may have.

Certain products may be excluded from voluntary returns where permitted by law. These exclusions are explained below.

2. Your Statutory Right to Cancel

For eligible online purchases, UK consumer law generally gives you the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to provide a reason.

After notifying us that you are cancelling, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Some products and circumstances are legally excluded from this cancellation right. Details are provided in Section 8 of this policy.

3. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact ShopHunt with:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Date the order was received
  • Reason for the return, where applicable
  • Photographs or other information if the product is damaged, faulty, or incorrect

4. Condition of Returned Products

For change-of-mind returns under the voluntary 30-day policy, products should generally be returned in an appropriate condition.

Where permitted by law, customers may inspect goods in the same way they would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop.

If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functionality, a lawful deduction may apply to the refund where permitted.

This does not affect your statutory rights concerning products that are faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.

5. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, you may be entitled to:

  • A repair
  • A replacement
  • A price reduction
  • A refund
  • Other remedies available under applicable consumer law

We may request photographs, order information, or other reasonable details to help us investigate the issue.

Your statutory consumer rights apply regardless of our voluntary 30-day return policy.

6. Return Shipping Costs

For a voluntary change-of-mind return under our additional 30-day policy, the customer will generally be responsible for the direct cost of returning the product unless ShopHunt agrees otherwise.

Where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise covered by statutory consumer protections, return costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the case.

7. Refunds

Once an eligible return has been accepted, refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase, unless another arrangement has been agreed.

For statutory cancellations, where required by law, the refund will include the cost of standard delivery. Any additional amount paid for a more expensive delivery option may not be refundable.

Where permitted by law, we may wait until the returned goods have been received or you provide reasonable evidence that they have been sent back before processing the refund.

8. When Refunds Are Processed

For statutory cancellations, refunds are generally made within the timeframe required by UK consumer law, normally within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving appropriate evidence of their return, subject to applicable legal requirements.

For voluntary returns under the additional 30-day policy, we will process approved refunds as promptly as reasonably possible.

Once a refund has been issued, the time it takes to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.

9. Products That May Be Excluded

Certain products may be excluded from statutory cancellation rights where the law permits. Examples can include:

  • Personalised or custom-made products
  • Perishable goods
  • Newspapers or magazines
  • Unsealed software, CDs, DVDs, or similar products where applicable
  • Certain sealed products that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed

The specific rules depend on the type and circumstances of the product. Where a legal cancellation exception applies, the relevant information will be provided where required.

10. Exchanges and Replacements

Where appropriate, ShopHunt may offer an exchange or replacement.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise covered by statutory rights, any available repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

An exchange option does not remove or restrict your statutory rights.

11. Orders That Have Not Yet Been Dispatched

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to stop the order where this is possible. If the order has already entered processing or has been dispatched, you may need to follow the applicable cancellation or return procedure.

12. Missing or Delayed Orders

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us with your order details.

We may investigate the shipment with the relevant delivery or fulfilment provider.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights relating to delivery.

13. Proof of Purchase

To process a return or refund, we may reasonably ask for information such as:

  • Order number
  • Order confirmation
  • Receipt
  • Payment confirmation
  • Product information

These requests are intended to help us locate and verify the relevant order and do not remove your statutory consumer rights.

14. Sale and Promotional Products

Products purchased during sales, promotions, or special offers remain subject to applicable statutory consumer rights.

A discount or promotional price does not remove your rights if a product is faulty, not as described, or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements.

Additional promotional return conditions will be stated clearly where applicable.

15. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace rights that consumers have under applicable UK consumer law.

Where a product does not meet the standards required by law, the remedies available to the customer will be determined by the applicable legal requirements and the circumstances of the case.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Return & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business practices, or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website with the relevant Last Updated date.
